About This Tool
Posterize PDF divides every selected source page into a grid of smaller tiles. A 2 × 3 grid creates six output sheets per source page, ordered from the top-left tile to the bottom-right tile.
Rows and columns can each be set from 1 to 10. Output sheets support A4, A3, Letter, and Legal paper in portrait, landscape, or automatic orientation.
Add overlap in millimetres, inches, or points when adjacent sheets need shared content for alignment. Fit mode preserves the complete tile and may leave margins; Fill mode covers the sheet but may crop part of the tile.
Use the page-range field to tile only the pages you intend to print. The generated PDF does not add crop marks, so use overlap and run a small test print before producing a large poster.
Processing happens locally in your browser and the source PDF is not uploaded to a server.
How to Use
Upload the source PDF
Choose one PDF and confirm the number of pages detected by the tool.
Choose the tile grid
Set rows and columns from 1 to 10. Multiply them to calculate the number of sheets created for each selected source page.
Set paper and overlap
Choose A4, A3, Letter, or Legal paper, then add enough overlap to align neighbouring sheets after printing.
Choose scaling and pages
Use Fit to preserve the complete tile or Fill to cover the paper. Enter a page range when you do not need every source page.
Download and test print
Generate the tiled PDF and print a small sample at 100% scale before printing and assembling the complete poster.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many sheets will the output contain?
Multiply rows by columns, then multiply that result by the number of source pages selected. For example, a 2 × 3 grid applied to two source pages creates 12 output sheets.
What overlap should I use?
Start with 5–10 mm for a test print. Increase it when the printer has wide unprintable margins or when you need more shared content for alignment.
Does the tool add crop marks?
No. The current output does not generate crop marks. Use overlap to align neighbouring sheets and trim only after checking how the printed content meets.
What paper sizes are supported?
A4, A3, Letter, and Legal output sheets are supported. Custom paper dimensions are not currently available.
What is the difference between Fit and Fill?
Fit keeps the complete tile visible and may leave empty margins. Fill covers the sheet but can crop content at the edges.
Can I posterize only one page?
Yes. Enter a single page number or a range such as 2, 4-6 in the page-range field.
