About This Tool
PDF Booklet Creator rearranges pages for print-and-fold production. In 1 × 2 mode, the first output side places the last page beside the first page, then continues the saddle-stitch sequence across the remaining front and back sides.
A folded booklet needs a page count divisible by four. When the source has fewer pages, the tool rounds the layout up to the next multiple of four and leaves the missing page positions blank.
The 2 × 2, 2 × 4, and 4 × 4 modes are ordinary N-up layouts: they place pages in reading order and do not rearrange them for folding. Use 1 × 2 when you need booklet imposition.
Choose A4, Letter, or Legal output paper, portrait or landscape orientation, page rotation, and 0–50 pt padding. The on-page preview shows the grid structure; it is not a preview of the source-page content.
The exported PDF contains the imposed sides, but your printer controls duplex mode and edge flipping. Print a short sample first because the correct long-edge or short-edge option varies by printer driver. Processing stays in your browser.
