About This Tool
Image Resizer changes pixel dimensions—the width and height of a photo or graphic. Enter exact pixels or scale the whole image by percentage, keep its proportions when needed, preview the result, and download a new PNG, JPG, or WebP file.
Resize by pixels or percentage
Use Pixels when a website, profile, email, or design requires an exact width or height. Use Percentage for proportional scaling such as 50%. The aspect-ratio lock updates the other dimension automatically; unlocking it can stretch the image. Resizing does not crop content from the edges.
Output format, quality, and file size
PNG supports transparency, while JPG replaces transparent areas with white. JPG and WebP quality changes encoder quality and may affect file size, but this tool does not target a file size in KB or MB. Resizing and compression are related but different tasks.
Private image resizing in your browser
The image is decoded, resized, previewed, and exported locally in your browser during normal use. It is not uploaded to iTextMaster, no account is required, and the downloaded image has no watermark.
How to Use
Upload an image
Choose one JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or BMP file. Animated GIF input uses its first frame.
Set the new dimensions
Enter a width and height in pixels or choose a percentage, then keep or unlock the original aspect ratio.
Resize and download
Choose PNG, JPG, WebP, or the supported source format, adjust quality when available, preview, and download.
Use Cases
Website and email images
Reduce large camera images to practical pixel dimensions for pages, newsletters, and attachments.
Profile and form uploads
Set an exact width or height while keeping the original proportions for avatars and online forms.
Thumbnails and previews
Create smaller PNG, JPG, or WebP copies for content previews and design handoff.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I resize an image to exact pixels?
Upload the image, keep Pixels selected, enter the target width or height, and leave the aspect-ratio lock on if you do not want stretching. Then select Resize Image.
Can I resize an image by percentage?
Yes. Choose Percentage and set a value from 1% to 200%, or use the 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% shortcuts.
What does lock aspect ratio do?
It preserves the original width-to-height relationship. Changing one dimension automatically calculates the other, which prevents accidental stretching.
Is resizing the same as cropping or compression?
No. Resizing changes pixel dimensions, cropping removes edge content, and compression mainly reduces encoded file size. This tool resizes and can adjust JPG or WebP quality, but it does not crop or target an exact KB value.
Which image formats can I resize?
You can open JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP images, then export a static PNG, JPG, or WebP file. Animated GIF input uses the first frame.
Will a transparent PNG stay transparent?
Transparency is preserved when exporting PNG or WebP. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent pixels become white.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Normal decoding, resizing, preview, and export run locally in your browser, so the source image stays on your device.
